What you still decide
InstaLabel stores the information a kitchen already works from and uses it to prepare a label. The business still decides three things.
The recipe. Which ingredients are actually in the item today, including substitutions.
The allergens. What is recorded against those ingredients, checked against supplier information. A blank on the matrix means nothing is recorded there. It does not mean the item is allergen-free.
The dates. The shelf-life rule for that item, and whether the label should show the date your procedure requires. InstaLabel applies the setting. It does not measure freshness, and reprinting a label does not restart shelf life.
If those three are checked, the label can be consistent from one shift to the next. The software does not make the kitchen legally compliant.
